Hello, I'm Christina Rhyser
FOUNDER OF THE PARENTAL BURNOUT CENTER
I'm from Vancouver, BC Canada and I help parents around the world to prevent and overcome burnout; reclaim their sense of peace and power; and re-create a life they love.
After burning myself out as a parent to the point of crashing and abandoning my family, I lost everything that had ever brought meaning to my life. I literally had nothing left to lose.
From this painful but sacred space of my own rock bottom wilderness, I was gifted the chance to face my demons and learn the lifechanging lessons that not only rescued me from Parental Burnout but gave me another chance to truly live (as a person and as a mother).
I want to help other struggling parents to put burnout behind them once and for all. This is why I created The Parental Burnout Center, and The Burnout Remedy Program.
I'd love to hear your story and answer any questions you have about Parental Burnout.

PRINCIPLES
LESSONS LEARNED
From my darkest place of brokenness after Parental Burnout led to my collapse, I learned the most important lessons of my life that changed everything. These are the very same lessons that I will share with you in PART ONE of The Burnout Remedy Program: "Lay the Groundwork".

COACH VS. THERAPIST
It is important to note that I am a Life Coach, not a therapist. So, what's the difference?
Life coaches and therapists serve different roles and have distinct approaches, although there can be some overlap in certain areas. Overall, while both therapists and life coaches aim to support clients in improving their lives, they differ in their focus, training, approach, and target populations.
Therapists primarily address emotional and mental health concerns, while life coaches focus on goal achievement, personal wellbeing, and enhancing overall life satisfaction.
I AM A LIFE COACH:
-
Focus on helping clients to achieve specific goals, improve their lives, and enhance their overall wellbeing.
-
Assist clients with personal development, relationship improvement, and achieving work/family/life balance.
-
Typically work with clients who are looking to make positive changes in their lives but may not necessarily have diagnosable mental health issues.
-
Primarily focus on the present and future, helping clients to set goals, create action plans, and overcome obstacles to achieve desired outcomes.
-
Coaching sessions often involve assessing current circumstances, identifying strengths and values, and developing action plans.
NOT A THERAPIST:
-
Primarily focus on addressing mental health issues, emotional challenges, and psychological disorders.
-
Often work with clients who are experiencing symptoms of anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, etc.
-
Use various therapeutic techniques to help clients understand their emotions, thoughts, and behaviors and develop coping strategies or solutions.
-
Typically delve into past experiences, childhood influences, and patterns of behavior to understand and address present challenges.
-
Therapy sessions may focus on exploring underlying issues, resolving past traumas, and promoting emotional healing.
